Paradise?! Even more than that!!”
I started reading all the reviews after having paid and reserving for my vacation. I felt very bad after reading all the bad comments. I was scared that this dream vacation would be a nightmare. Trust me on this, ignore all the bad comments because none of them is true. What you see in the photos is what is true. My room had a sea view! The view was amazing! The food was great, and even the prices are very reasonable! Note: You are a tourist. Paying 10% more than the average price of an item is normal! You should know that the hotel is isolated – away from everything- which made the vacation more relaxing. There is a shop within the hotel from which you can buy food and drinks and even souvenirs! There is also a tavern and a very nice bar! The beach just in front of the hotel is full of stones. No problem- just go a little further from the hotel as you walk along the shore and you will find a good place (also isolated) to swim. It is a family hotel and I saw lots of kids enjoying their time with special programs at night! Trust me, if you want to relax, your stay at this hotel will make you forget all your problems! The price is less than what I got! The rooms look better live than in photos! Even the hotel looks much better live than in photos! If I go to that area again, I am sure I will stay in Mendi hotel again! Those that wrote bad comments here kept me worried about the hotel until I got there!

Excellent family hotel
It may be in the middle of nowhere but that is the point of relaxation and getting away from it all. Nicest beach ive seen and i have been vacationing on Chalkidiki forever. There are games and activites for kids in the evening while Parents look on from nearby cafe. Room maintenance excellent, food medicore, pool perfect!

a place to relax
Nice hotel on the sandy beach. The beach is clean, the food in hotel is good. People of the hotel are nice. The places not for the people who would like to party, shoping… You need have got or to rent a car or a scooter and you can enjoy everything of that.

Relaxing with great view and helpful staff
We went there for the summer holidays and stayed 5 days. The room was good, sea view, quiet and the facilities offered varied. They have a bar, a tavern, beach bar, restaurant, mini golf, tennis court, basketball court, etc. The staff was great and Irene at the bar does the best cocktails around. Will surely visit again!

My family was twice in this hotel, last time before few years. Children still asks when we vill go there again. This is very nice hotel for familys with small children. They had childrren’s playground and good animation for children and us. Swiming pool with sea water was very nice. Garden was nice and clean, with tap for washing feet. Food was very nice. The staff were very nice. We got what we payed.

Hotel Mendi is a nice place to relax, forget your worries and just enjoy. The hotel is situated literally in the middle of nowhere, so if you are a fan of loud parties, shopping and going to bars, this is not a place for you. It is really an oasis of peace and tranquility, with an amazing swimming pool with sea water and palm trees all around, but it is very deep in some places, so watch out for your children. There is a bust stop near the hotel, but I think that the bus doesn’t stop there very often.
The hotel restaurant is quite nice, the food is very good and diverse. I just missed some cocoa or a chocolate drink for breakfast, because I don’t drink coffee. One advice-don’t eat the chocolate spread, it is not Nutella, it’s just some sugary, tasteless chocolate spread, with no sign of hazelnuts. 🙂
The staff is like most of the Greek people very nice and polite. They are very helpful and they try very hard to speak English. But they will give you a big smile if you say “kalimera” or “efharisto” to them.
The rooms are quite big, but with very old fashioned furniture. The hotels has its own beach which is nice, but there are pebbles on the beach and in the water which can be a bit uncomfortable for the feet. I travelled to this hotel with an agency so we had free umbrellas and sunbeds at the beach, but if you are travelling on your own, you have to pay for it-I think 6 €, which is a bit expensive.
There are no shops or restaurants near the hotel, just the shop in the hotel (with very reasonable prices and with a good offer of goods) and a hotel restaurant at the beach (with some very nice, young waiters). Because of this, a lot of people have an all-inclusive package, but we had a half-board and it was enough for us.
I recommend renting a car so that you can explore the rest of the beautiful Kassandra and Sithonia, just beware of the Greek drivers 🙂
